Shion also caters for weddings, including Bridal Gowns, Bridesmaids and the Mother-of-the Bride and Groom attire.

We also do all alterations on the premises so you can be assured of the quality and fit.

Shion Designs also specialises in an ‘in-house’ design service – creating up to 400 personally designed and fitted ‘special occasion’ garments a year.

Shion’s dedicated staff are experts in made to measure, offering:

A free in-house design consultation which can include trying on styles to make sure that you are 100% convinced of your design and colour choice.
Fabric guidance – even meeting with you at [selected fabric suppliers] Fabulous Fabrics to help you choose that special piece of lace, embroidery or silk, etc.
Offering an extensive range of in-house fabrics from which to choose.
All quotes include 5 fittings starting with a ‘toille’ (calico) to make sure the fit and design lines are perfect for your shape.
Shion also offers personal hand work such as beading, embroidery and detailing.

The girls from Shion are not just ‘dressmakers’ but highly qualified seamstresses, most of whom have Couture Bridal experience. We also design and cut our own patterns allowing us to design and make anything that you desire.

We use only the best linings and interlinings and never scrimp on those important details that make your new garment a cut above the rest.

Shion has successfully forged a professional reputation in the industry – training many Fashion Design degree students from Bently Tafe– and attending and exhibiting in industry functions such as Hong Kong and Singapore Fashion Weeks and Melbourne Fashion Week.
